24) Final music video

So we are finally done with our editing and here is the outcome! All of us are just so fascinated by the work done that we couldn't stop watching this. We are pretty happy with our work, although our editing and shooting could have been better if there was no curfew in India due to COVID19, as there was a scope of shooting few of the outdoor shoots in a better way. Moreover, there were two more scenes which we couldn't even shoot because of the curfew.  Link to our music video:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Zp8xeY_3fceo7XqfpmYv0trhrqB7LLeO/view?usp=sharing Or you could directly view our video below. 23) Editing

Image
Now that we are finally done with our shooting, here comes the post production stage: editing. For this, we used the software Adobe's premier pro. As we watched many music videos such as 'We don't talk anymore' by Charlie Puth and 'Make you mine' by Public, we always had the idea of using split screen in our music video too. And the option was easily available in the software premiere pro. However, using split screen in the correct way is not everyone's cup of tea as a lot many times all of us tried to adjust the clips in the split screen in such a way that the subject does not go out of focus. Also to get the touch of romance, we applied filters to the prom scene such as increasing the tint and making it appear pinkish-purple, indicating that these were actually the colourful lights.  Editing was the most effortful task out of everything, as we daily sat for 2-3 hours just to edit our film. But we loved doing it anyway! The following is the link ...

22) Behind the scenes

Image
Our shoot is finally over! Being the camera man I had one of my most bewitching experiences. To work with my teammates and other students on this project was worth all the effort that we put into this music video. Also by spending so much time and creating memories, all of us are now more than just teammates. A family! Here are some behind the scenes, hope you like them as much as I liked filming them:

21) Our website

Image
my teammates and I couldn't get any happier! We are extremely delighted to inform that we have finally created the website of our band! We created the website using Wix.com. It is an extremely easy-to-use software and creating it was quite interesting. The theme we have chosen and black and dark magenta, which is similar to the colour scheme of our logo. Although we had many other options to select as our theme:  LINK TO OUR WEBSITE:  https://abeernilyam.wixsite.com/quarterlife

20) Website research

Image
JESSIE WARE website link:  https://www.jessieware.com/ Jessie Ware's website actually opens with  her latest music video of one of her songs. There's a button reading 'visit site' at the upper-right corner. This opens the home page of the website which display the cover of her latest album. At the top it's written 'JESSIE WARE' in capital letters using black font. At the upper right corner here shows icons of twitter, instagram, YouTube, etc, which are linked to her accounts on other social media platforms. Also at the upper left corner, there are options: music, videos, live, podcasts, gallery and store which could be visited by the fans. These are basically the shortcut options meaning any individual could directly go to any option by clicking at any of them. As you scroll, these options come in order along with the content CHARLIE PUTH Website link: www . charlieputh.com charlie Puth's home page opens with advertiseme...

19) Effectiveness of our digipak

Image
Since, our music video is a teen-romantic music video comprising two protagonists, we decided that the characters, Zach and Zoe should be on the cover. Also, since both of them are two different personalities in the music video, that should be reflected upon the cover page as well so that the audience instantly know how different these two are. So, in our cover, Zoe and Zach are sitting against each other's backs on a football ground, near a goal post. The football ground signifies that both of them are teenagers. Zoe is in casuals, reading a book, connoting that she is studious, whereas Zach is shown in a basket ball jersey, connoting that he is an athelete. Also, we tried to make our theme as prismatic as we could, the font is cursive and blue in colour, which totally goes with it's red background: We also decided upon the name of our band. We named it 'Quarter Life', it sounds beautiful. We used 'Mylogo', an online application, to create it. ...

18) Final digipak

Image
Hello everyone! We are here with our final digipak. After fully knowing what a digipak is, how they are designed and the references we took from the already exisiting digipak, we started with the planning of creating our digipak. This was not a very tedious task as all of us knew what we wanted on the cover and on each sides of it. Then we chose different locations where we could shooot pictures for our cover. Here is the cover: Along with the the cover side, we clicked pictures of the other sides as well. These pictures also include the other actors, who portrayed the roles of Zach and Zoe's friends. Here are the other sides of our digipak: Our entire digipak:

17) Research on digipak

Image
For our minor task, that is to make a digipak, all of us researched about how a digipak is, and how each of it's side is designed. A digipake is an optical disc packaging is a cardboard package consisting of 6 sides, presented in form of 3 flaps. The middle flap hold the CD on one of it's side, and the other two flaps overlap this side.  For this task, we checked many digipaks of already existing albums of different artists. some of them are as follows: The Family Jewels- Marina and the Diamonds Talk That Talk- Rihanna Teenage Dream- Katy Perry I gain inspiration from these digipak as each of them stick to a particular theme. Marina's 'the family Jewels' has colour scheme of grey and brown, that gives a warm effect. Rihanna's 'Talk That Talk' colour scheme is black and white and thus looks classic, while Katy Perry's ' Teenage Dreams' is blue and pink in colour scheme, indicating youth, as these bright colours ...

16.) Schedule

Image
To plan forms a base of everything, not just in the process of filming, but in fact everywhere. That's what we did, we prepared a schedule for our ease, to set small targets of shooting different scenes each day. Here is our schedule that we will be strictly adhering to:
